Who I am
Hello, my name is Dawn Hamilton, founder, owner and creative director of My DH Designer. I have lived in Colorado for over 25 years, residing in both the Denver area and Pikes Peak region.
I have always had a passion for home décor and interior design. My interest began as an indirect sales consultant for Home Interiors and Gifts, Inc., and later for PartyLite Candles and Accessories. After a series of life altering events I found an opportunity to rediscover myself and explore my passions. I decided to go back to school enrolling at Pikes Peak Community College, where my journey as a college student and my pursuit of a formal degree in Interior Design began. I am the first in my family to go and graduate college. I achieved an Associate of Arts degree in Interior Design, and graduated with honors, the experience was nothing short of life-changing for me.
During summer break of 2017, I fulfilled a two-month internship in Shanghai China, where I lived and discovered the ancient Chinese culture of Feng Shui. In addition to my degree, I have earned a certification as a professional home stager through The Staging Diva Home Staging Business Training Program, a nationally acclaimed business founded by Debra Gould. I am also an associate member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), where I actively participate in networking and professional development opportunities.
What sets My DH Designer apart from several others is formal education, and training. Whether your project is a color consult, a home renovation or e-deisgn or property staging, you can be rest assured that the training and experience is what sets us apart. We appreciate each and every client and will ensure that your home project, big or small will be completed with care and attention to detail. We look forward to working with you!
